The answer to that question is a resounding, yes! You might be wondering what impact does kissing have on the immune system? There are two ways that kissing can impact the immune system, first and foremost is the good feelings that are generated by kissing. This causes a natural lift to the immune system through pathways that are much to complex to get into at this time. Virtually anything that cause your mood to become positive will have a positive impact upon your immune system. In the same manner, anything that impacts your mood in a negative manner can have a negative impact as it works to depress your immune response. So, as the song in the "Life of Brian" goes, "Always look on the bright side of life..." or something like that. The other way your immune system is impacted by kissing is through the exchange of germs. As your body comes in contact with these germs it works hard to formulate a plan of attack so as to keep you from getting sick. I for one like to try to challenge my immune system as often as possible so that in the long run, isle be able to avoid getting sick. Now if you are in a steady relationship, your body has pretty much gotten use to his/her germs and the long term immune system benefit will mainly come from the satisfaction of a good relationship. If however you aren't in a relationship you might need to get out there and get to kissing as many hims/hers as you can so as to keep your immune system working efficiently. There are drawbacks to this approach as at times through the year there are outbreaks of the flu or MONO, that you might not want to contract. It is therefore advisable to know what kind of health the him/her you are kissing is in. Avoiding those who are clearly sick. This doesn't guarantee that you won't get the flu or MONO, because of the symptomless incubation period, but it does lessen the chance of catching either of these. As usual , I look forward to your comments.

So get out there and get kissing!

Keep on Chattering
Chongo

Looking for something to do this weekend? Fortunately for me all my digits are intact and even though I blew up two launching tubes. As in previous years, I managed to send two charges parallel to the ground, as opposed to the normal perpendicular launching, lighting up the ground instead of the air. Thankfully, we can look back and laugh about the incidence as there were no injuries from my errant launchings. Maybe next year I should be better about the placement of the charges so that they travel upwards instead of sideways.

Speaking of fireworks... Why is it that fireworks are used as a visual when couples are kissing on the big screen. I have seen fireworks on many occassions, without sharing a kiss. I'm thinking that comparing a kiss to fireworks isn't such a bad metaphore. After all after one kiss with someone the relationship can explode into a familial situation or implode at some point with each person heading in their own direction, hopefully before the familial explosion. Well thats all I have on this for now. Feel free to send me your thoughts on the Kissing/Fireworks metaphore.

Keep on Chattering
Chongo

Maiden Chatter

Welcome to my Blog...
